DIY Peppermint Sugar Scrub
I never used to make my own products. Until I went to a party where we had the opportunity to make things like body butter and makeup remover pads, etc. I was hooked! Now I’m making all kinds of things! The first one I wanted to try on my own was Peppermint sugar scrub. The ingredients were simple and I already had them at home! My skin gets really dry in the winter, especially my feet and knees. I was so glad the first time I used it, it made my skin so smooth and less dry!
This is really the best scrub I have ever used. I used to buy scrub and it was always expensive! I like this much better!
Peppermint Sugar Scrub
I’m not sure where the recipe originated from but so many people use it and love it! (Including myself) All you need is:
1/2 cup Sugar
4 TBSP Coconut oil
8 drops Peppermint oil
Green food coloring (optional)
Glass jar (approx 8 0z)
The directions are just as simple! Get a large bowl, and mix coconut oil, sugar, and peppermint oil together. Mix. Then dump it into the glass jar. That’s it!!
The food coloring is only if you’d like to add some color! But I would only add a couple of drops.
I use this especially in the winter when my skin is the driest. The sugar helps exfoliate and the coconut oil moisturizes. Peppermint oil makes it smell great. It can also be cooling to the skin. I’m not afraid to put the peppermint oil on my skin because I know it’s pure and has no junk in it. Best of all it has no chemicals! This is the only essential oil brand I trust!
