Resolved 01-02

Have I kept any resolutions? Honestly…I don’t think there are. I think I’ve kept some for a while, but eventually ended up breaking them. I think I’ve mentioned before in another post of mine last year why I make resolutions, I said I made and kept a budget and that was one thing that I accomplished. Which was great! However, I broke my budget this year. Yikes! I got way off track with my budget this year.

I started to get off when I got into crocheting! It’s a lot of fun but purchased too much yarn too quickly. I’m trying to remedy this by making scarves as well as other things and selling them. I was hoping to make a side job out of it for extra income. (Because I have debt and a wedding to pay for 😉 )  Please feel free to check out my Etsy shop!

I also did a fairly poor job at meal planning. I kept forgetting my lunch at home and would have to go out and get something. Even though I tried to eat inexpensively, those little costs add up over time! I’d like to get better at making meals ahead of time, eating leftovers

Another thing that didn’t work out so well, I bought way too much Dr. Pepper/ junk food! I need to eat and drink healthier. Doing this should ultimately save me money.

What I need to do, is get back on track with my budget and stick to it! Find other ways to earn some extra income so I can pay off this debt quicker! One of these days, I’ll set a New Year’s Resolution and not break it!

Have you ever made a New Year’s Resolution that you kept?

I began writing in 2012. Though it doesn't show here, my writing now isn't the same as it was then. Over time I have learned more about myself. I learned that my life has gotten busy and cluttered but I'm working every day to make a change for the better. Make everyday count, love those around you. I plan to live intentionally. Hope you enjoy!
